About the program

Study cosmetology at Eastern Wyoming College’s Torrington campus, with practical training in its Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC).

The Cosmetology, AAS combines hair, skin and nail coursework with client services and general education. The degree sequence includes at least 74 academic credits, distinct from the program’s 1,600 clock hours of cosmetology training.

What you get

  • School qualification: Work toward the Associate of Applied Science in Cosmetology by completing all program requirements, including approved electives, with grades of C or better.
  • Professional license: Graduation and licensing are separate. Graduates must pass the Wyoming Board of Cosmetology examination to become licensed in Wyoming; completing the degree does not guarantee a license.

Schedules & start dates

The suggested degree sequence covers fall and spring semesters in the first and second years. Summer cosmetology courses are optional additions.
