About the program

Ogle School’s Fort Worth campus offers a 1,000-hour cosmetology program, combining classroom learning, mannequin practice and supervised work with salon clients. Training progresses through three stages:

  • Discovery: Build foundational techniques, client-service skills and an understanding of salon procedures.
  • Skill Development: Develop those skills through clinic work, with attention to client satisfaction, salon operations and time management.
  • Career Readiness: Refine technical skills, efficiency and client communication in preparation for work.

Business training covers client retention, rebooking, referrals and building a clientele.

What you get

You receive an Ogle School Diploma after completing your required hours, meeting academic and attendance requirements, and meeting tuition and fee requirements. Federal student-loan borrowers must also complete exit counseling.

The diploma records completion of your school program; it is not a professional license. The program is designed to prepare you for Texas licensing, with exams and the license application remaining separate steps. Ogle offers graduate employment assistance and employer connections, but does not guarantee a job.

Reviews

Salon clients praise student stylists who listen, explain their choices and deliver satisfying cuts, color and blowouts. Some also describe helpful supervisors. Critical salon accounts report appointment delays, unexpected service charges, disappointing results and difficulty getting follow-up support. Student accounts raise concerns about teaching and the learning environment. An older esthetics review also praises individual instructors while describing treatment and supply concerns. These experiences vary by reviewer and program. Before enrolling, ask current students in your chosen program about instructor availability, practice materials and how concerns are handled. Reviews include both learner and student-salon experiences.
