About the program
The three-year, 1,250-hour programme teaches hair sculpture, color and chemical texture services, skin and nail procedures, and applied cosmetology sciences.
What you get
Students must successfully complete 1,250 training hours to qualify for Pennsylvania’s cosmetology examination. Programme completion prepares graduates for the examination; a professional license requires the state licensing process.
Schedules & start dates
The cosmetology schedule separates theory, lab and homework. Weekly theory is five hours; lab is 5.5 hours in grades 9–11 and nine hours in grade 12. One additional hour is assigned to homework.

Entry requirements
Applications must go through the participating school district’s guidance office. Applicants should have good academic standing, attendance and behavior. Ninth-grade exploration does not guarantee a first-choice programme place; oversubscribed programmes can have a waiting list.
Application steps
Submit the online freshman application, then let the participating school district guidance office collect the remaining information and submit the packet. The 2027–2028 freshman application is open; the upperclassman application is scheduled to open in February 2027.
