About the program

Autry’s cosmetology program prepares students for cosmetology employment and licensure preparation. Training includes haircutting and styling, coloring and permanent waving, manicuring, pedicuring, and facials. Adults complete 1,250 training hours. The high-school pathway lists 1,000 training hours plus up to 250 hours for successful completion of approved high-school courses.

What you get

The program prepares students for the Oklahoma State Board written and practical cosmetology examinations. Passing both examinations with at least 75 percent is required to become a licensed cosmetologist.

Schedules & start dates

Adults must attend half-day for their first two semesters. They may then continue half-day or attend both daily sessions. The school describes a four-semester route when students switch to all-day attendance after the first two semesters.
