About the program

WCC’s Ashe Campus School of Cosmetic Arts offers 1,500 hours of cosmetology training through Workforce Development & Community Education. The course covers hair cutting, styling, coloring, permanent waving and relaxing, along with skin care, nail care and other salon services.

Training begins with the basic course content. After completing that work satisfactorily, students move into the supervised clinic to finish their remaining training hours. This is a non-degree course leading to a Certificate of Completion.
