About the program

Wilson Talent Center offers a two-year cosmetology program that combines practical classroom work with distance-learning theory. Training covers hair, nails, skin, makeup, salon business, and related theory, and is designed to prepare students for Michigan cosmetology licensure testing.

What you get

After successfully completing the 1,500-hour course, required minimum practical applications, and a pre-state exam with a score of 75% or higher, students are ready to take the State Board Exam and seek employment.

Schedules & start dates

Classroom training is combined with distance-learning theory: seven hours per week in Cosmetology I and five in Cosmetology II. The theory assignments must be completed and documented to count toward training hours.
