About the program

Eric Fisher Academy’s 1,500-hour cosmetology program combines theory, practical training and client services in Wichita. The five training phases are:

  • Launch: foundational theory, practical skills and career goals.
  • Fresh Talents: developing technical, consultation and client-service skills.
  • Salon Life: strengthening creative and business skills through client work.
  • Thrive: state-board preparation, professional development and career placement preparation.
  • Elevate: refining salon-floor skills, career planning and licensing-exam preparation.

What you get

You earn an Eric Fisher Academy Diploma and a certified final transcript after completing the required hours and graduation requirements, including an 80% cumulative GPA.

The program prepares you for the state licensing examination. A school diploma is not a professional license; the examination, required fees and state licensing application are separate steps.

Schedules & start dates

Full-time students change attendance days after week 20: the first two phases meet Monday–Friday, and the later phases meet Tuesday–Saturday. Friday and Saturday have different hours from the other days. The part-time afternoon/evening schedule stays Monday–Thursday throughout the program.

Completion time depends on attendance. Lunch breaks are clocked out rather than automatically counted as training hours.
