About the program

The Sioux City campus offers a 1,550-hour cosmetology program, typically completed in 45 weeks. Training covers hair, skin, nails and makeup, with classroom learning and supervised practical instruction.

  • Basics — weeks 1–6: foundational hair techniques, sanitation, personal development and Iowa law.
  • Level Two — week 7 through completion: advanced hair services, skin and nail care, salon business and career development.

What you get

  • School diploma: complete 1,550 hours, meet the academic requirements and satisfy financial obligations.
  • Professional license: the state board exam and licensing application and fees are separate from your diploma. Completing school does not automatically issue the license.
