Rivertown's 1,500-hour cosmetology program provides training in hair, skin, and nail services, including hair cutting, coloring, chemical services, skin care, and nail technology. The program prepares students for the Georgia State Board exam. The first 250 hours build theory and mannequin skills before supervised client services; the first hour of each class day is theory, followed by practical assignments.
Graduation requires 1,500 clock hours and the required practical services, at least 80% attendance and academic grades, four written exit exams and two practical Mock State Board exams. Financial obligations must be met or an arrangement approved by the owner. Graduates receive a diploma and must pass the Georgia examination and apply for the professional license.
