This 1,500-hour cosmetology program covers hair, skin, and nails. Training begins with hairstyling, then moves through esthetics and nail technician instruction, with senior class preparation for the Colorado State Board exam. Completing the program earns a diploma. A separate 2,000-hour paid apprenticeship route combines classroom instruction with employer-based training; its hours and costs differ from the standard program described here.
To graduate, students must complete required hours, practical operations and assignments, meet the required academic standards, complete tuition and fee payments, and attend an exit interview. The school then issues a graduation diploma, applicable certificates, a completion record, and state licensing information.
Attendance averages 30 hours per week, with an individual timetable provided at enrollment. Only theory may be completed online; practical and lab work must be completed on site. Eligible students may choose an off-site internship for the final 300 hours.
