The Cosmetology Technical Certificate provides training in haircutting, coloring, perming, styling, manicuring, pedicuring, facials, cosmetics, and salon development. Students practice in a model salon and lab setting; successful completion prepares students for the National Cosmetology Theory Examination.
The Cosmetology Technical Certificate requires 45 credits, a minimum 2.00 cumulative GPA, at least 15 semester hours completed at SAU Tech, and satisfaction of financial obligations to the college. The courses prepare you for the National Cosmetology Theory Examination; the college certificate is not a professional licence. An additional 15 general-education credits can lead to the separate Cosmetology A.A.S. degree.
