About the program

Winonah School of Cosmetology offers 1,500 hours of cosmetology training, covering hair styling, cutting and coloring, chemical texture services, skin and makeup, and nail care. Choose campus-based or hybrid study, with daytime and evening routes. Both combine theory with practical skills and supervised student salon work.

What you get

You receive a Certificate after meeting the program and contract requirements:

  • Complete 1,500 clock hours, the required assignments, and final assessments, with at least a 70% combined theory-and-practical average.
  • Settle financial obligations or make payment arrangements.
  • Complete student-loan exit counseling when applicable.

The certificate recognizes completion of school training. You must separately pass Alabama’s written and practical examinations and meet the licensing requirements before practicing as a licensed cosmetologist.
