About the program

New Beginning College of Cosmetology offers a 1,500-hour cosmetology program in Albertville. Classroom instruction and supervised practice cover hair, skin and nails. Training progresses through three levels:

  • Level 1: The first 256 hours focus on fundamentals, health, safety and client protection.
  • Level 2: Students build practical skills through mannequin and client work.
  • Level 3: Supervised practice continues through the end of the 1,500-hour program.

What you get

You receive a certificate after completing the required classes, curriculum and 1,500 training hours, maintaining at least a 70% academic average, meeting financial obligations, and completing exit counseling if applicable.

The training prepares you for the state cosmetology examinations; the certificate itself is not a professional license. Job-placement assistance is available at no additional cost, but employment is not guaranteed.
