Blue Cliff Career College’s 1,500-hour cosmetology program combines hair, skin and nail training with sanitation, client consultation and salon business skills. You begin with 250 hours of fundamentals, then develop practical skills through supervised salon-floor work. Daytime study uses a blended format, combining campus instruction with online learning.
You receive a 1,500 Clock Hour Diploma and transcript after completing the program requirements:
The diploma recognizes your school training. Alabama’s written and practical licensing exams are separate steps before working as a licensed cosmetologist.

The book bundle includes a laptop, e-book and licensing-exam preparation; it is not a separate laptop charge. Books, equipment and kits must be purchased from the school.

Available to qualifying students
Eligible students can apply for Pell Grants, limited FSEOG grant funding, Direct Subsidized or Unsubsidized Loans, and Parent PLUS Loans. Complete the FAFSA for federal aid consideration; loan awards and grant funding depend on eligibility. Loans require repayment.
The school also accepts approved payment plans, eligible VA funding, Adult Rehabilitation Services support and existing PACT prepaid tuition funds. PACT uses family funds already paid into the plan—it is not a new grant. Scholarships are offered only when opportunities become available; an award is not guaranteed.
Tuition can be paid under an approved payment plan; no interest-free term is established.
Opportunities, terms and amounts are announced when available. No current award, amount or deadline is established.

Only families that have paid into PACT can draw on these prepaid tuition funds.
